This occurs by taking your tools back to a point of resonance with their source \u2013 a form of Mother Earth.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n There are quite a few methods for clearing gemstones, many of which simultaneously charge them \u2013 so let\u2019s just get to the good stuff and explore several relatively easy ways to cleanse crystals and recharge them for maximum efficacy.<\/p>\n The sun and the moon are tremendous forces of nature, and one can cleanse and recharge crystals and stones simply by allowing them to sit in a safe place fully exposed to those revitalizing energies. Allow at least 24 hours of exposure, but stones that have absorbed tremendous amounts of energy may take longer, and this is true for most cleansing and charging methods here.<\/p>\n Note:<\/strong> Amethysts and aquamarine crystals may fade in sunlight, so consider an alternate method. Stones programmed to deflect negative energies such as black tourmaline, may take twice as long to cleanse.<\/em><\/p>\n Place your stones into a cloth sack and bury them for at least a day, preferably in pure, clean soil. Avoid areas heavily trafficked or tainted with chemicals or pesticides. This method cleanses and recharges most any stone safely.<\/p>\n Cleanse Crystals with Water<\/p><\/div>\n Running water is a wonderful way to recharge and cleanse most any healing gemstone, particularly clean rivers and streams. Just place your tools in a container (colanders work well) and submerge them for at least two hours, allowing the healing and restorative powers of water to work their magic.<\/p>\n Salt water is another example of how to cleanse crystals and how to recharge healing gemstones. Many users \u2013 including myself \u2013 use great caution with this method, as our friends are gentle and must be treated with loving care\u2026salt can be abrasive and scratch or dull stones, so consider this prior to using this method. You may use the power of ocean water, or you may make a salt solution in a container at home. Allow them to soak and set them under moonlight to simultaneously recharge them. You can also do the reenergizing after the soak.<\/p>\n Note:<\/strong> Make sure that your stones won\u2019t dissolve in water; red selenite and halite are examples.<\/p>\n Holding a pendulum, talisman, gemstone, etc. in the direct line of sage smoke for a few minutes clears negative energies. However, this is one version that doesn\u2019t re-energize stones, so follow up the cleansing with a sun\/moon\/water treatment for recharging.<\/p>\n This method isn\u2019t one of the more widely known ways to achieve the task, but healers and wise sages globally often find it to be a favorite way to cleanse their tools for transformation. Surrounding stones in flower petals allows the essence to strip away any negativity, which is replaced by the energy and purity of the flowers. Soaking crystals in brown rice balances and centers a stone\u2019s energy, removes negativity, and dissipates and transforms negative to positive energies. Eat the rice after cleansing \u2013 it is now energized and purified, too!<\/p>\n If you have a sizable \u2013 and I do mean a big one \u2013 clear quartz crystal<\/a> that is fully charged, you can place your stones upon it and cleanse and reenergize them in this fashion. Don\u2019t forget to give your larger stone the same TLC regularly!<\/p>\n If you\u2019re practiced in making changes using focus and intention, then you can cleanse and recharge stones with no additional tools. However, it requires practice, extreme concentration, and a strong connection with the universe.
