  • Why Now?

    Why Now?

If you are still wondering why many spiritual leaders emphasize living in the present, consider the following lesson.

Imagine the following scenario. You are driving in your car and you pull up to a red traffic light, in the turn lane to go left. There are two cars in front of you and a short line of cars behind you. Now stop to think. Remembering back during your lifetime, can you change what happened five years ago? How about three years ago? Maybe that’s too far back. Can you change anything that happened to you just six months ago? How about five minutes ago? Too far back? What about that car that recently drove up behind you. Can you go back and change what happened just one minute ago? How about one second ago, when you reached over and scratched your other hand. Can you change that?

Let’s go the other way. Can you predict with absolute certainty what will happen to you or anyone else in the world five years from now? What about one month from now? But that’s too much to ask. How about one second from now. Can you predict with absolute certainty what will happen one second from now? You might have an educated guess. You figure the light will turn green, the first car will start its turn, and you and the rest of the people in your lane will follow. There! You did it! You predicted with absolute certainty what will happen one second from now.

Or did you? What if the light doesn’t turn green? What if the traffic light malfunctions and your lane misses its turn? A thousand or more things can happen between now and one second from now. Maybe the first driver isn’t paying attention and is unable to go in time before the light changes again. Maybe the power grid fails. Maybe a crazed driver speeds into the intersection and causes a big accident. You really cannot predict with absolute certainty what is going to happen even half a second from now.

If you can’t change the past, and you can’t predict the future, it makes sense that there’s only one place where you can exist with absolute certainty. Now. The only space in time that you can exist is now, in this very instant. That is why you must always focus on the now. Don’t lament the past; don’t worry about the future. You cannot change the past and you cannot predict the future. But you can live in the now. It is the only place where you exist. The past is gone. You don’t exist in the past, anymore. You don’t exist in the future, because it isn’t here yet. Now is the only place you can ever be. So the answer to our question, “Why Now?” is: Because now is the only place you can be.

  • The Doorway of Your Imagination

    The Doorway of Your Imagination

There was a point in your life; one single point, at your conception, when you were born into existence. Your life force entered into the world of form, yet you were not yet formed by the physical. At that moment, you were the essence of yourself, and nothing more. In the next instant, you became affected upon by the world of form. Everything physical; touch, sound, feel, changed and mutated your path. As you became physical, you became susceptible to the physical. You began to make your journey of physical life on this earth. Yet the pathway remained to your higher self, to the pure self that began your existence in the physical world. Some of us have not used the pathway ever, or not enough.

As the years have gone by, you may have felt that you lost yourself. The phrase, “I feel lost” is indicative of your having forgotten the pure you who came into this world in the form of your physical body. Many of us have become lost. The stories are different, but the message is the same. Maybe you have been beaten down by the world by ill treatment or wrong doings. Maybe you have been distracted by the temptations of temporary pleasures such as worldly goods, lusty desires, death-defying thrills or mind-numbing addictions. Many of us have lost our way home.

    Meditation-7a

The pathway to your higher self is through a portal that allows movement in two directions. The door to the pathway is through your imagination, but imagination is not the pathway itself. Imagination is not the destination, the pathway or the journey. It is only the doorway. When you open the doorway of imagination, you are lighting up the pathway to your higher self; the self you were born to be.

When we speak of using our imagination to reach our higher self, we are speaking of reaching the higher self to receive the message of who we are, and where we are meant to go, what we are meant to do. Our imagination doorway is not limited by what others tell us we should do, or what people tell us we are incapable of doing. It is simply there, waiting for you to use it, and to seek the answers you will find. You will not find the answer here, in these words. You will only find answers when you use the key to open the door of your own imagination.

  • Stone People – Mother Earth’s Record Holders

Stone People – Mother Earth’s Record Holders

Native American tribes believe that Stone People are Mother Earth’s record holders, but what are Stone People? People who don’t know the Language of the Stones mistake Stone People as common rocks. However, they’re more than that. Using their magnetic quality, these stones collect the energy on the planet’s surface and store it for later use. Native Americans use the Stone People’s stored energy for various purposes.

For centuries, medicine people have been using colored stones for healing purposes. The Stone People tell the healers what gifts and talents they possess. Healers find them by river banks, along canyon walls, and in places where they rise to Mother Earth’s surface through erosion. To enhance their healing powers, many medicine people wear clear quartz crystals for focus and clarity.

Native American folklore tells the story of how a Stone Person used its record holding power to save the lives of a young girl and her grandmother. The girl and her grandmother lost their way picking berries. When they finally returned, they discovered that raiders had killed everyone else in their tribe and taken most of the tribe’s food. Close to starving the girl dreamed of a Stone Person calling to her. When she found it along a creek bank, the Stone Person told the girl which herbs, mosses, and plants to use to make a soup. The Stone Person also told her which stones would release nutritious minerals if boiled in the soup. Upon waking up, the girl followed the Stone Person’s directions and made pebble soup. She and her grandmother survived on pebble soup until another band of their nation found them a month later. This is just one story of how Stone People are great teachers that share their knowledge about the planet’s and her children’s history.

As mentioned before, the Stone People speak the Language of Stones. They love to talk with, help, and teach people as long as people listen. The Stone People put themselves in the paths of those who they want to notice them. People who notice them and pick them up feel their special energy.Stone People tell their holders about their gifts. They bring their own lessons to the lives of those who hold them.

The role that Stone People play in each Native American tribe varies. Each tribe has its own set of teachings learned over the centuries from the stones. Tribal medicine people learn these lessons through trial and error. Over time they become tradition. Although each tradition might have different uses for the stones, they all revere the Rock Nation teachings as messages from the Earth Mother.

People who want to learn how to live in harmony on planet Earth must connect with the Stone People. That’s because each stone is part of Mother Earth’s body. Once Mother Earth was one rock. Over time, weather and geological events separated the smaller stones from her. Using the stones to slow down their minds helps people bring balance and serenity to their lives. When people are unable to bring balance to their lives, they overeat, talk too much, suffer from addictions and compulsions, and behave erratically. Holding a stone serves as grounding force that lets people feel the security and nurturing influence of Mother Earth. As long as people are willing to connect with the Stone Teachers, they can receive the gift of Mother Earth’s great fount of wisdom.
