  • Five Spirit-Changing Activities You Can Do Today

Five Spirit-Changing Activities You Can Do Today

Life isn’t always a box of chocolates. Sometimes unpleasant situations arise and it’s often the result of our own bad choices. Unfortunately, it is human nature to avoid change even when it is beneficial and wallow in our misery. Change is scary to us, so we avoid it at all costs and tough it out. What we don’t realize is that it is really rather simple to change your life. In fact, it can be done in five simple steps. While these steps may be simple, they are not always easy and can take some deep soul searching to pull off.

    Start Something New

There is no better way to refresh your spirit than with a new hobby, job or tradition. Learning something completely new to you opens your physical and spiritual eyes to how much bigger the world around you really is. Failure or success never comes into play. ou The entire reason for starting something new is to find a new way to paint the canvas of your life. Take up belly dancing. Start a yoga routine or check out a new diet. Keto and paleo diets are changing people’s lives every day. There are so many keto dinner ideas packed with flavorful proteins it is a breeze to fit it into your weekly meals. Even if you aren’t successful

    Activities

    Put Your Thoughts on Hold

When your spirit feels conflicted with life events, your mind is not always your ally. The constant flow of thoughts we have are usually negative and often damaging. When we feel bad, we tend to have less power to fight off those negative voices. One way to shut them down is to meditate. Shutting down your mind for only a few seconds at a time can still be beneficial. Breathe deeply and slowly in a quiet place and concentrate only on your body. Be attentive to what you hear, smell, and feel. When abstract thoughts seep in, simply draw your attention back to your breath as many times as you have to.

    Give Something Up

Smoking, overeating, cursing, and drinking are all things people try to quit on the regular. While they are all excellent ways to uplift your spirit, you can quit anything and make a big change. Stop going to work the same way every day. Stop eating at the same restaurants. Stop wearing your hair the same way. Give up the catch phrase you always say or stop saying yes when you really mean no. Stopping any activity you have done for a while will net you a bit of extra time to fill with new projects or long soul-resting hours.

    Change Your Clique

“You’re hanging with the wrong crowd”. It’s the advice your mom used to give you when you got in trouble in school and it can still be true in adulthood. When your spirit is in an unhappy place it most often has to do with what surrounds you. People included. It isn’t necessary to change your whole group of friends. Or even to cut people out entirely. All that is required is to make small changes such as spending an hour less a week with anyone who isn’t feeling genuine to you. If changing your whole posse feels right, however, by all means do it.

    Activities

    Expand Your World Through Travel

Every method described here has to do with change. If you change the things that surround you, you can change your spiritual outlook. All of us have had the experience of coming home from vacation and being so happy to be home, even though we wanted to get away so badly we made time for a getaway. This is not because home became a better place, but because we appreciate it through different eyes after traveling. So get out there and explore the Swiss Alps, go on a bermuda cruise, or do a service trip in a third world country.  Upon returning home, you will feel a change in your surroundings– not because they are different, because you are.

    Mix Up Your Morning Routine

Not many people realize the tone of your morning sets the tone for the whole day. It takes extreme focus and concentration to break out of the mood an awful morning can put you in. Changing your morning routine is a quick way to start changing your life right away. Throw in a little exercise and change up your breakfast items. Skip the morning news and watch a few scenes from your favorite comedy while you get ready for work. Changing just a few small things in your morning routine can have a big impact on your day and spiritual outlook.

Changing your spiritual disposition is not an impossible task but it isn’t easy. It will only happen if you want it to happen. It helps to take small, easy steps first to find your footing. Soon your new life vision will become clear to you.

  • Living a Dynamic Life Through Spiritual Vibrations

Living a Dynamic Life Through Spiritual Vibrations

In the same way that musical tones are easily audible and quickly distinguishable to the trained ear, spiritual tones give off a specific vibration and can be heard and sensed by the trained listener. When properly used, these vibrations can be utilized to alter states of consciousness, in exactly the same way that different music can change moods. Matching the proper spiritual vibration to the intended audience is an important factor in having it be well received and accepted. A spiritual worker will take those vibrations and use them to help change consciousness, adding their own vibrational note and making the intensity and tone levels as required.

Spiritual VibrationsThe spiritual tones are more subtle than musical tones but can still have dramatic effects on the state of being of an individual person or a group. Musicians utilize rhythm, pitch and other musical aspects to order their vibrations and create the tone they want to portray. In this way, spiritual workers can learn a tremendous amount from musicians, and their use of these techniques to adjust their message they are trying to portray.

In the same way that we have to learn how to properly play a musical instrument to create the sound and tone we want, spiritual aspirants need to practice and learn how to move from simply creating vibrations or sounds to fine tuning to a much more effective note.

There are also other factors that can play into creating the most effective vibrations, where the same tone can have different levels of effectiveness in different cases. In the same way that the screech of a poorly played violin jolts the listener, the wrong vibrations in the wrong setting can have a similar effect. But, put those same vibrations in the right setting, and they can be highly effective.

Mediating the vibrations is an essential component of properly expressing them, as they can be overwhelming and counterproductive if they aren’t – much in the same way that water gives life to plants, but unmediated flood waters will wash them away.

Spiritual VibrationsGrowth doesn’t happen instantly, so the dynamics of spiritual vibrations need to include subtle changes. There may also be forward and backward movement as the growth takes shape, causing an individual to fluctuate from their new state to their old and back again until the balance is found. Effective dynamics of vibrations should imitate this movement. These dynamics also need to offer individuals the choice to receive them freely rather than submit to them.

In a world full of noise, it’s important to appreciate the silence. Noise and chaos redirects our attention and focus. “When we embrace the qualities that silence brings, we can fully appreciate and embrace it, wrapping ourselves in the silence and accepting the vibrations that accompany silence itself,” says Everett Middleton, spiritual writer at NextCourseWork and Australia2Write.

Within silence, we can absorb the vibrations that can help us repair what damage has been done to our senses through the noise of daily life. In a sense, we can only begin to learn how to hear when we listen intently to silence first.

There are many dynamic arcs that are naturally encapsulated within daily life that remind us of the natural flow of change. The changing seasons, for instance, provide a great reminder that the dynamic of change is always around us, happening naturally and gradually.

“Following the natural rhythm and pattern of our own breath, we can begin to see the dynamic arc of intensity at all levels, from strongest to weakest, and we can begin to understand the rhythm of an abstract quality’s dynamic arc,” explains Yoga Blogger at WriteMyX and Brit Student, Judy Barrows.

Practicing these moments of focus and reflection help make it easier to understand, recognize and receive spiritual vibrations. We may even begin to see the effects our own intensity is having outside of us.

Understanding and listening to the subtle differences in vibrations, we can begin to learn how to adjust our own vibrations to make them more effectively received by others. Finding a balance in the level of our vibrational intensity can help us tune them to the right level.

With much practice and time, a spiritual worker can begin sending out powerful and dynamic vibrations, like a beautifully composed symphony of music.

  • 5 Ways You Can Achieve Healing on your Spiritual Journey

5 Ways You Can Achieve Healing on your Spiritual Journey

    A person was created to be both a physical and a spiritual being! Both your physical and spiritual aspects should grow and develop. The body develops from when you are born until the time you reach adulthood. However, most times people tend to forget about their spiritual facet. Your spiritual side needs to grow and develop as well. Spiritual healing is also affiliated with great physical health. You tend to gain inner peace when you have both your body and spirit in tune with each other. Your soul is always looking for different ways to progress to attain more understanding as well as awareness. There is always that joy and exciting feeling you get when pursuing the spiritual path. Here are five ways you can acquire spiritual journey and healing;

    Spiritual Journey

    1. Establish a meditation practice

The word meditation is mostly associated with Buddhist monks. However, any person can embrace this practice, not just the Hindu swamis and monks. The fact that it is related to such examples shows it is a method you can use to begin your spiritual journey. Meditation has been a tool used by advocates of many religions. It was also used by great scientists such as Charles Darwin when they wanted to open their minds to new ideas. Different people meditate for various reasons. One of the many reasons is that meditation is a great tool when trying to accomplish spiritual growth and development. The first step is finding a peaceful and quiet environment. Sometimes soft music or burning incense can help make the surrounding more peaceful. The next step is opening your mind and keeping it calm. The third step is to connect with the cosmic source of all light, information, and love. This practice improves your capability to concentrate as well as focus your consciousness. It, in turn, builds the ability to channel the Divine. Connecting with the Divine helps you absorb knowledge and understand it perfectly well. Meditating is excellent for your body, soul, and spirit. You can only achieve peace and healing when the three aspects are connected.

    2. Embrace prayer

The main spiritual tool people use when facing difficult situations such as turmoil, abuse, illnesses, financial problems and family disputes is prayer. Spiritual healing involves using prayer to heal all these problems. When you are in a mission to acquire a spiritual journey and healing, you should master the art of prayer first. Prayer connects your spirit to the Divine. It helps you communicate with your God. By doing so, your body and soul becomes less bulky regarding the problems you are facing. There different kinds of prayers, you only need to know your preference. Prayer can be in the form of music, dance, connecting to nature, contemplations, yoga, affirmations or any other form of art. Hope is an important thing to have, especially when you are going through a lot of difficult experiences. Prayer gives you hope of a better tomorrow or future. Pray, and you will be a step closer to achieving spiritual journey and healing.

    Spiritual Journey

    3. Join a group with the same mission

It is a perception that when you involve yourself with a particular group of people, you tend to behave like them. It becomes easy to work as a group to attain a common goal. The first step would be to join either a workshop or class that has people who are on the same spiritual path. You tend to feel more connected to the Divine when praying or meditating as a group. It becomes easier to pursue something when you are surrounded by people who want the same thing. Spirituality also involves connecting with other spiritual beings.  Humans face similar problems, and it becomes bearable when confronting the issues as a team. You tend to feel better when you are surrounded by people who care when you are undergoing difficulties in your life. Try joining such a class, and you will learn a lot that will help you accomplish spiritual growth and healing.

    4. Try Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has benefits both for the physical health as well as the spiritual healing. Essential oil can be used for aromatherapy. There are various types of oils that you can use. You can get yourself a carrier for your convenience. The best carriers are the stone pendant carriers. Aromatherapy has been used for centuries, and it is usually involved with spiritual awakening and healing. You can incorporate aromatherapy into meditation.

    Spiritual Journey

    5. Get Spiritual stones

Spiritual stones have been in use for many decades. There are different beliefs that some of these stones bring fortune, good luck, spiritual insight, great health and much more. Such stones include amethyst, carnelian, and labradorite. Amethyst is well-known for increasing mental health. It helps you keep your mind calm and relaxed. On the other hand, carnelian helps you work on your dreams and achieve them. Lastly, Labradorite can help you give up an addiction such as alcoholism. These stones are perfect when you are on a spiritual journey.

  • How Quantum Healing Hypnosis Changed My Life

How Quantum Healing Hypnosis Changed My Life

(The story of a Volunteer who came to Earth)

A long time ago, in a land far, far away there lived a very ancient being who had existed since the beginning of time. This being and her family traveled the Universe, seeding planets with life and teaching their creation everything they needed to know to live in harmony with their world. They travelled to every corner of every galaxy, watching as entire solar systems were created, seeing the birth of stars and planets, observing all the wondrous phenomena of the Great Architect painting the Universe. And this life that this ancient being lived was absolutely beautiful and perfect.

Eventually, this very ancient being and her family of creators made their way to a newly formed part of the Milky Way galaxy and seeded life on a planet called Earth where they were tasked by the Creator to do an experiment with this creation and gift this new race with something extra special. Instead of seeding Earth with just any old bi-pedal lifeform, they were to blend the seeds of life with that of their own to create something very unique in the Universe. They were to teach them their ways of being, and then allow this new creation the free will to take any path they so desired. But they didn’t just leave this creation to their fate, but watched them as they evolved throughout many thousands and thousands of generations.

    Healing Hypnosis

As the new humans began traveling down a road into darkness, becoming destroyers of their planet and each other, the Earth sent out a call to any beings in the Universe that could help. This ancient race who had created these humans had to answer. And thus it was that one of these beings was incarnated into a tiny little human baby girl, knowing that she would forget who she really is once she passed through the veil into human existence. But she felt confident that she was up to the task of helping humanity and would have no problem remembering why she was there.

And this little girl was just your average, run-of-the-mill girl with no special qualities or talents. Born into a family that neither wanted nor approved of her, she grew to be a very determined person…determined to prove herself, determined to be accepted, determined to be loved, determined to be respected. She learned at a very young age that only perfection would be acceptable to those she sought love from. So she worked hard and made perfect grades, wore the proper clothes chosen for her, played with the right children that were appropriate influences, and never, ever had an opinion of her own.

While she strived every day for the perfection that was expected of her, it was always just out of reach. Finally, she just gave up trying to be perfect. She rebelled and became quite an angry, sad person.

By the time she was 22, she decided that she was done with life and the everpresent struggle to figure out who to be in order to be loved by another. So she swallowed the contents of an entire bottle of pills, knowing she was finally going to be free. But alas, she couldn’t even perfect her own suicide and woke up 2 days later in a hospital room, her eyes so swollen she could barely see the very disapproving looks on the faces of her family sitting in front of her. She immediately began concocting a story to tell them about how she didn’t really mean to try and kill herself, in hopes they would believe her and take pity on how horrible her experience must be. But that wasn’t meant to be her story.

After a couple of years of therapy, she managed to convince both herself and her therapist that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her. It was everyone else and she was just a victim of their torments. She left therapy feeling the victor after successfully blaming all of her problems on the world outside of her.

Realizing that she was now an adult, it became obvious that the only person she could count on was herself. She began working hard and finally worked her way into a really great sales job at a relatively new company. This new job was fascinating because it afforded her the ability to make her own schedule and appointments and it payed quite a lot of money if you did well. And she did. She did so well that by the end of her 2nd year, she was in the top 1% of her company, which was now 50K employees strong. She won a trip to Hawaii and was nationally recognized for her outstanding sales achievements. During this time, she had also met the man of her dreams, and got married. Finally she was on top! Finally she was loved! And not just by a person, but by a whole organization!

    Healing Hypnosis

After working for several years, she became bored and the accolades became fewer and fewer. She started asking herself, “Why am I here? What is my purpose?” She’d reached the top of her field, had a great marriage, lived in a nice house, drove a nice car, everything she ever dreamt would bring her happiness and love. But there was still an emptiness in her. A deep longing for something meaningful, something lasting, something bigger than anything she’d ever known or experienced. So she began searching…

Her search took her to the far east traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism, then west to the ancient Jewish mystical teachings of Kabbalah, and finally one day, she received a very clear message in a dream that said, “Let your Soul guide you”. She immediately stopped looking outside of herself for the answers and began just sitting quietly, waiting for the answer to come from somewhere within her. And answers did come…painfully slowly at first, glimpses of something grander than herself, but just out of reach. Every day, she would spend 1 hour sitting in quiet contemplation, eyes closed, trying to force answers to come. It wasn’t until she was about to give up with this little experiment that she heard very clearly, “stop trying and start allowing”. So she stopped trying to force it and just allowed whatever thoughts or images to pop into her mind to come, and come they did. And once they started coming, it was as if the floodgates were open! She learned a lot in the first year of daily meditation.

    Dolores Cannon

One day, a friend mentioned a lady named Dolores Cannon, who had worked with thousands of clients around the world under hypnosis and these clients were getting answers to questions they didn’t even know they had! Well, she knew she just HAD to have a session of her own. When she inquired, she found that the waiting list was over a year long to have a session with the Master Hypnotist, but that there were students who had studied her method that she could have a session with. Well, she wasted no time getting an appointment to have a session with one of Dolores’ students.

When she went for her session, she only had a short list of questions relating to her life experiences as she figured she’d gotten most of her answers in meditation and this method was for the big stuff. Well, that session took her all the way back to her Souls creation at the Source of all things. She learned that her entire life of feeling alone, without love, was one of her biggest lessons because she wanted to understand what the humans were feeling here and what was driving them into this darkness. In this deep state of hypnosis, she learned that it was to be ok being alone, because being alone doesn’t mean being without love. She remembered in these precious moments her divine connection to all things, to the Creator of all things, and herself.

Healing HypnosisThat first session gave her a lot to consider about her perception of her human life. She spent the next two years working on changing her views of her experiences and looking at how they were teaching her about what it had been like for this very special creation, how her experiences were masterfully orchestrated to move her toward wholeness rather than punishing her. She began to feel gratitude towards those who had hurt and abandoned her. Little by little, she began feeling gratitude towards the world in general, and she noticed that the things she experienced in the outside world began to change! As she changed the way she saw the world, the world conformed to her new vision.

She went on to have another session a couple of years after the first one and the curtain was pulled back even further, allowing her even more remembrance about WHO she really is. Well, this was just wonderful because now she had more “home work” to do and this inner work/reflection became her purpose in life. She wanted to understand everything her Soul had ever experienced. Knowing herSELF was like discovering she had a secret superpower and she definitely wanted to know how to use it!

    Healing Hypnosis

She knew that it was time to share her gift of Quantum Healing Hypnosis with others, allowing anyone on a path of self awareness the opportunity to do it in the most loving way possible…to hear what they need to hear directly from their own Soul. So she took the training with Dolores Cannon and became a practitioner, paying forward the opportunity to realize our BEST LIFE is waiting for us. Now, this very average girl lives a human life reminiscent of the life she has in her true form as this very ancient being, extremely grateful for every moment she has to help humanity to remember how very special and amazing they are, empowering each person the opportunity to speak directly with their Soul to receive the answers they so long to find.

  • Discovering A Better, More Spiritual You Through Travel

Discovering A Better, More Spiritual You Through Travel

Spiritual travel is a go-to trend for millennial travelers these days –  the three Ss that fueled the tourism industry of the past (Sun, Sand, Sex) are now being replaced by the new three Ss: Serenity, Sustainability, and Spirituality. On the one hand, millennials may be less religious, but they are more spiritual than ever – they are merely seeking new types of communities and experiences to experience the sense of being connected to the rest of humanity through a ‘universal life force’. Secondly, a plethora of scientific findings have shown the extent to which spiritual-based practise (including yoga, meditation, and Tai Chi) are powerful stress hormone busters, improving everything from pain right through to anxiety. If you would love to travel but lack the self-confidence to do so, free yourself of your fears with red amber essential oil and find your inspiration in the different types of spiritual holidays in vogue.

    Nature Holidays

Sustainable holidays now make up 20% of all international travel, with agritourism (trips to local farms, wineries, delicacy manufacturers etc.) being an important sub-category of nature travel. Holidays to forests, lakes, and natural parks are seen as a means to come to experience a sense of what Carl Jung called our ‘collective unconscious’. When we are in the midst of a majestical mountainside or seascape, said Jung, we are reminded that we are more than the physical; that we have a rich interior life we need to cultivate if we are to avoid loneliness and depression. Nature escapes in luxury and budget mode; some are escaping to famed natural wellness resorts like Ananda in India or Como Shambalah in Indonesia, while others are roughing it by camping out beneath a canopy of stars and falling asleep to the sounds of birdsong.

    Spiritual

    Yoga Retreats

If you love yoga, then you know how deeply spiritual this mindful pursuit can be. Yoga involves full coordination between body and mind and spirit through practises such as asanas (yogic postures) and pranayama (controlled breathing). Study after study has shown that yoga is able to lower stress hormone, cortisol, quickly and efficiently. Yoga benefits more than our mental state, of course; it strengthens our body and hones flexibility, but also invites us to embrace a spiritual life – one based on eight limbs that foster spiritual enlightenment through values such as self-restraint, non-violence, and devotion.

    Iconic Spiritual Spots

Spiritual travel can also involved visiting places that are known for their rich spiritual life. Many contain sites that inspire contemplation, meditation, and prayer. Just a few of these places include La Mezquita in Cordoba, Spain (famed for its stunning basilica, built in 784AD); the shinto shrines in Kyoto, Japan; and Uluru in Australia (famed for the red rock that is deeply tied into the spiritual belief of the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people in Australia).

    Spiritual

    Boosting Your Courage

As mentioned above, red amber oil is a fantastic way to feel the courage you may need to book a flight to your next spiritual retreat. Bringing along a few healing stones will also come in  handy, since they enhance your charisma and make it easier to meet new people. Use this stones to exude a positive energy that will attract others so you can enrich each other and feel the powerful sense of connection that is the pillar of spirituality.

One of the most appealing things about spiritual travel in the new millennium is the wide array of choices available. From roughing it at a camping site or going full glamp at a luxury spa, there are many roads that lead to the same place. These days, you can blend spirituality with the spirit of adventure, yoga, or sightseeing, since travel has become as personalised as our idea of spirituality itself.

  • Turning Your House Into A Home

Turning Your House Into A Home

In an age ripe with technological advancement, our information and awareness are strongly influenced by the powers of social media, and we are more stressed than ever. In fact, a study that began in 2007 and ran for a decade found that stress levels peaked in 2017. While work may be stressful to many people, the home should be a place to reduce stress through the promotion of peace and tranquility. Our homes should be a safe haven, a place of spiritual escape where our anxieties, fears, and stress can be washed away. Three ways that we can promote a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere in our homes are: removing negativity, surrounding ourselves in nature and promoting positive vibes.

    Removing negativity

One of the ways that we can begin to remove negativity in our homes is by removing items, pictures, and articles of furniture that we associate with negative memories and feelings. Clutter can incite feelings of chaos and disorder, by removing the clutter in our homes we can begin to feel fresh, clean and more energetic. Removing all of the items that promote associative feelings of negativity is the first step toward creating a positive and peaceful atmosphere in our homes.

    Nature is nurture

Have you ever wondered why office spaces and waiting areas are often filled with plants and flowers? The natural world can help to nurture feelings of tranquility and peace as well as significantly lowering levels of stress and anxiety. Indoor plants promote wellness, both physical and mental. Physically, they work like natural filters, cleaning the air by taking in toxins and carbon monoxide and emitting oxygen. In terms of our mental health, it has been proven that plants not only reduce stress and improve moods, but they also increase our focus, which makes us more efficient at completing tasks at hand. This makes plants and flowers perfect additions to any home or workspace.

    Nature is nurture

    Positive scents make sense

The smell of flowers, plants, fresh fruit, baked goods, or even scented candles can also help us create the peaceful, spiritual environment we strive for our homes and offices to be. Particular scents can trigger positive memories, promote certain moods and improve the way we feel. For example, jasmine has been proven to have a calming effect on people, while lavender has a particularly calming effect on many dogs. While these scents may not be for everybody, selecting a scent that is right for you could help significantly improve your mood.

    Promote positive vibes

Music can significantly influence our mood and emotions; therefore, playing music that is suited for our individual tasks and experiences can help promote healthier moods. For example, when waking up in the morning, fast-paced, energetic music can help us get out of bed and get our day started; whereas, when we get home from a long day at work relaxing, classical music can help boost our mood.

    Promote positive vibes

Take out the trash, buy a plant, light a candle and turn on your favorite music and your home will become the stress-reducing spiritual oasis you want and deserve. We can all promote and achieve the level of peace, tranquility, and comfort that we want for our homes when we remove negativity and surround ourselves with images of the natural world and other pleasant sounds and smells.

  • Chakra Healing With The Seven Sacred Egyptian Oils of Saqqara

Chakra Healing With The Seven Sacred Egyptian Oils of Saqqara

Thirty kilometers south of modern-day Cairo sits an ancient burial ground in Saqqara. Home to the oldest stone complex historically known—Djoser’s Step Pyramid—and also home to what are believed to be the world’s oldest religious writings—The Pyramid Texts—Saqqara has been a sacred place for burials, rituals and ceremonies for over three thousand years. Amid the many pyramids and temples constructed there, old Egyptian texts were discovered upon the walls and sarcophagi dating back to the 5th and 6th Dynasties of the Old Kingdom.

Within these translated texts, there are details of Seven Sacred Oils used during rituals, with each seemingly associated with a force of nature. These fragrant oils were commonly utilized as cosmetics, fragrances, as offerings during funerals to aid in helping the deceased pass into the heavens, and for anointing statues associated with particular Gods/Goddesses aka Neters in hopes of gaining greater health or prosperity. So, what’s the relationship between these Egyptian practices and the Hindu spiritual belief system of the seven chakras?

    Egyptian Oils of Saqqara

Making ‘Scents’ of the Chakra System, Endocrine System and Essential Oils

While the concept of internal, invisible spinning wheel energy centers known as the chakra system may be tied to Hindu spiritual belief systems, one may also be surprised to find that even the ancient Egyptians believed in the concept of the seven energy centers. However, the Egyptians tied the energy centers to the endocrine system and seven specific glands within the body that must be vital for health—a concept also believed about the chakra system by the Hindus.

How the ancient Egyptians knew that these particular oils resonated at frequencies that were harmonically ideal to balance and assist the chakras and their associated glands is a mystery. But as the purported inventors of aromatherapy, they certainly had powerful insights and connections with nature’s healing tools. However, science has now shown that these oils indeed do have healing effects upon the endocrine system and the mind, body, and spirit as a whole.

Lotus Oil: The Crown of Osiris and Master of the Crown Chakra

Lotus OilThe Pyramid Texts of Saqqara describe the second oldest known mention of the Neter Osiris, who is arguably the most important Egyptian deity of the afterlife. Amid funerary ceremonies, the lotus flower was closely associated with the rites of the Cult of Osiris. It was common for the symbol for ‘plant’ or ‘tree of life’ to consist of three lotus lilies believed to embody Osiris “rooted in the earth and reaching for the heavens.” This represents the motion of energy as it moves through the chakras to the crown chakra where the pineal gland is located. When considering Osiris as a force of nature associated with the powers of creation, it’s only natural that Lotus Essential Oil is recommended for awakening and balancing the crown chakra.

Sandalwood Oil: The Eye of Horus and Clarifier of the Pituitary Gland

Sandalwood OilThe all-seeing, all-knowing mighty Eye of Horus is naturally associated with the third eye chakra. As the purported opening to the portal of infinite wisdom, the third eye chakra is often blocked or imbalanced by issues associated with blockages of the pituitary gland (such as fluoridation or mental health issues). The Egyptians believed that by working with the power of Horus through the use of Sandalwood oil, one could tap into the energy of the sun to traverse into realms beyond the earthly plane and return safely and filled with divine knowledge.

Amber Kashmir Oil: The Throat of Thoth and Activator of the Thyroid

  • 7 Amazingly Simple Steps to The Path of Prosperity and Abundance

7 Amazingly Simple Steps to The Path of Prosperity and Abundance

It’s simply not possible to live a prosperous existence if you constantly focus on impoverishment or what is lacking in you life. The truth is, you likely have far more than you realize going for you, and one of those things include your own thoughts. You are a powerful creator of your own reality — if you approach things with an enlightened state of mind. Here are some easy ways to move forward on your path to prosperity and abundance.

    Prosperity and Abundance

    1. Live in Gratitude

Focus on abundance, not lack by keeping a gratitude journal. Write at least three things a day in your journal that you are grateful for. Your thoughts and words can be destructive or they can heal and uplift. Living a life in gratitude helps keep your words and thoughts in a place receptive to prosperity and abundance.

    2. Forgive Yourself and Others

Harboring resentments and anger will keep prosperity and abundance at bay, regardless of how hard you try to make it wash ashore. Don’t live a life filled with strife due to old grudges. Begin by forgiving yourself and then address others. Free yourself of the past and focus on living in the moment — because will only be in a present moment that abundance appears, not in the past!

    3. Receptivity

“Clear eyes, full hearts” was the team mantra in the hit movie turned TV series ‘Friday Night Lights.’ Their coach would have them recite this brilliant advice before every game in order to put them in the mindset for a victory. If you want to attract prosperity and abundance, you must open your eyes, your mind, and your heart to be willing to see and receive any abundance that the universe sends your way. One way to do so, is to speak your own personal affirmations aloud.

    4. Affirmations

These motivational statements send out positive energy to the universe and raise your vibrations to help attract the prosperity and abundance you desire. Affirmations can relate to any aspect of life: relationships, love, or any changes you want to make. Often, they begin with “I am” or  “I will” or “I shall.” There’s no right or wrong way to make an affirmation, just do what’s comfortable for you. Some excellent affirmations for prosperity and abundance are:

“I know that everything I want or need, I already have. I call it forth into my life with faith and conviction.”

“I open myself up to more and more good by allowing the Laws of Mind and Attraction to fulfill my highest and best in new and creative ways.”

    5. Give to Yourself

By giving to yourself, we are speaking about taking care of your physical and emotional health as a priority. If you aren’t healthy, you lower your vibrations and that isn’t likely to increase your manifestation abilities. Second, give yourself greater financial freedom by living within your means — and cut up those credit cards. Increasing debt isn’t the goal when you’re seeking abundance.

    6. Consider a Life Coach

If you’ve devoured every prosperity book, listened to the wisdom of the most successful business people and still don’t feel like you’re where you should be, consider consulting with a life coach. Of course, most coaches charge a fee, so you might be wondering how this helps your abundance. Consider this – if you’re afraid to pay for such counseling how can you expect others to compensate you for YOUR gifts or contributions? Remember, there must always be an equal energy exchange for efficacy, whether that be via money or a bartering deal.

    7. Stones and Crystals for Prosperity and Abundance

  • What is Duality? The Doorway to All Truths

What is Duality? The Doorway to All Truths

The Duality…everyone has their own perspective about what this term means and why it’s even relevant. This in itself is a form of ‘duality’ because it is indeed ALL about one’s interpretation of any situation. Sages have offered enlightenment into the realm of duality with the saying…

“Your truth is truth, my truth is truth, but your truth is not necessarily my truth.”

Understanding and being aware of duality is vital to our human experience, as it allows us to see things from ‘both sides of the coin’ and better understand ourselves and others amid the collective. Most individual’s version of ‘truth’ culminates according to their past and current experiences, social conventions, and worldly views. To put it simply, duality is the nature in which everything holds opposing truths — all of which are true — at least in a relative sense.

    Duality

Relative Truths, Absolute Truths and Duality

Relative Truths: A relative truth can only be TRUE at one place and time. That ‘truth’ may currently exist for some while it means nothing to others. It may have been true at one time, yet it may never be true again in the future. The tricky thing about truth, is that it beckons for change and is wholly subjective to one’s perspective AT THE CURRENT TIME! For example, as children we perceive Earth as a gigantic place, yet as we get older we begin to understand that our planet is merely a fleck of cosmic dust amid the infinite space of the universe.

Absolute Truths: These are true at all times and places, and they are discovered or revealed to be absolute truths rather than being invented or constructed by religion, culture, etc. For example, humans need oxygen/air to breathe as well as food and water for survival. Gravity works everywhere on the planet, and you can’t be asleep and awake at the same time. You get the idea — cold, hard proven facts that never change.

The ability to determine whether a truth is relative or absolute allows us to see that duality revolves around relative concepts and are opportunities to see from multiple perspectives for personal and spiritual growth.

    Why Duality Can Entrap Us

So how do we come to determine what our particular version of ‘truth’ is? Is it conformity, religion, experience, or something entirely different all together? Can we avoid  becoming trapped in the duality, or must we accept it as a part of the human journey?

It’s purported that three independent layers generate our current experiences and perceptions:

Layer 1: The conscious mind that perceives and experiences.
Layer 2: The body and brain that produces and holds our consciousness, allowing us to sense physical experiences and external stimuli.
Layer 3: Everything else in the universe.

It is purported that Layer 2 — the physical body — often prohibits experiencing the third layer, where we directly understand and perceive the infinite nature of the universe…a place far beyond the constraints of ‘duality.’ It’s the ability to comprehend this conceptual thinking that allows us to conquer constraints that duality can source — when we allow it to.

    Duality

    Examples of Duality We Encounter

Consider this case: A man’s home is burglarized and he is injured while defending his home. One neighbor may say, “Gosh, that’s just terrible.” Meanwhile a family living next door with two teenage daughters know that the man is a registered sex offender, so they say, “It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.”

The takeaway: The observer’s statements are examples of relative truths, as they indeed are the opinions of the speakers. However, the only absolute truth is that the man’s home was burglarized.

Another scenario: A loved one passes away. Many friends and family may believe the individual’s life was priceless, while others may find their death a blessing—whether that be due to a painful illness or merely their cantankerous attitude while living. Meanwhile a funeral home director only finds the departed to be as valuable as the potential profit margin due to their passing.

The takeaway: These are relative truths, as they were likely valuable to many, yet not of much value to the funeral home until their death. To them, she’s a passing number in an accounting book. But the only absolute truth is that the individual no longer walks among us.

    Duality Serves a Higher Purpose

DualityJust like there’s two sides to a coin — both of which much be present for it to be considered ‘valid’ — duality has two sides, and denying either one of those sides would invalidate the existence of the other.

    * Good/Bad
    * Light/Darkness
    * Happiness/Sadness
    * Piety/Evil
    * Yin/Yang
    * Willfulness/Denial

We cannot delete one side without deleting the other side, so we have to live by accepting duality as what opens up the doorway to all truths for us. What experiences can you share with us about dealing with duality in your life?

  • The Power of Water for Healing and Spiritual Growth

The Power of Water for Healing and Spiritual Growth

Our organs and our cells are comprised of water – in fact, up to 60% of our bodies is made from water alone! Yet as a society, we continue to forget the healing benefits of water and consistently choose soft drinks, coffee, flavored water and energy drinks as water substitutes. Water – and not Vitamin water or sparkling soda, but real, pure water is your best friend on your journey to repairing your mental and physical health and increasing your vitality.

Why Water is Vital to Your Overall Health

Imagine a dam in a river that’s been closed off. Suddenly, the river’s flow begins to weaken, and everything that’s a part of the river’s ecosystem begins to fall apart. Fish and small mammals can no longer absorb the nutrients they need from the water. Waste from the river has nowhere to go, so its population dies off. When the water disappears, so does the vitality of the environment. The human body operates similarly: without water to usher nutrients and proteins throughout the body, the body’s organs begin to shut down. Even the food we absorb can’t be properly digested without water to act as a lubricant. Without water, our body also has no way to expel toxins or pollutants, which increases our chances of acquiring serious ailments from constipation to cancer. The body’s ‘ecosystem’ perishes.

There’s one organ in your body that needs water the most: your brain! The brain is 75% water. Without proper water intake, the clarity of your thinking will decrease and you may be in a perpetual state of fatigue without knowing why. The best way to preserve your brain health and boost its performance is not just to use it, but to nurture it and care for it. Your brain never stops running, and it requires constant fuel. So, before you reach for that cup of coffee in the morning, start your daily routine off on the right foot by showing some love to your gray matter and having an 8 ounce glass of water.

    Power of Water

Water Not Only Nourishes Us – it Also Heals the Soul

Water has always been emphasized for its nutritional value, but its other healing benefits shouldn’t be overlooked. Even observing the ocean or a flowing stream of water can soothe the troubled mind. Perhaps one of the reasons we feel so comfortable in the water and listening to the sounds of rushing water is because it mimics the fetal state. From conception, we develop while floating in the embryonic fluids of our mother’s womb. Floating on the surface of a warm bath or pool can draw us into a state of total comfort and relaxation as we subconsciously return to feeling completely nurtured and protected, just like we did before birth. When we surrender our need to be physically grounded and allow the water to hold us, we also lose our need for rigid self-control and total self-reliance. One of the best ways to mentally unwind and relieve stress is to go for a swim, then float on your back and do some simple deep breathing.

Power of WaterSalt water is also a wonderful natural alternative to traditional anti-inflammatory agents. Gargling with salt water helps strip away excess mucus and bacteria lingering at the back of the throat and in the tonsils to either prevent or treat a cold and a bad sore throat. Bathing in warm salt water or swimming in the sea can help dry up acne, scab over minor open wounds and encourage the drainage of harmful toxins from the lymph nodes.

Listening to water during meditation and visualizing water are two excellent ways to help reduce stress after a long, difficult day. The body, when held in a constant state of tension for long periods of time, has been proven to suffer – scientists have found a link between consistently high stress levels and an increased chance of getting heart disease, cancer, anxiety disorders and other serious conditions. The following exercise will help you take advantage of the healing power of water to reduce your stress levels and stay well.

Step 1: Begin by taking some deep breaths. Continue to breathe until you quiet your thoughts and feel relaxed.

Step 2: Start to envision any kind of water: an ocean, a stream, a brook, even the rain. Construct this visual in your mind, then try to picture what the water sounds like. Focus solely on the images and sounds running through your mind. How does the sight and sound of the water make you feel?

Step 3: Now, picture immersing yourself in the water. Whether it’s allowing the rain to glide over your skin, or diving head-first into a beautiful, warm pool, visualize your anxiety, fear, anger and stress melting away as soon as the water touches your body.

Step 4: Close the exercise with a few deep breaths, and exit the meditation feeling cleansed and revitalized.
