Ancient Hidden Knowledge – What do Halos Really Represent?

Throughout history all of our libraries containing knowledge of the ancient world were destroyed but the secrets in the art that they left behind tell us another story. (”The Pyramid Code” documentary ) Our human history as we were taught is far from the truth. It is undeniable with new archaeological finds along with existing ancient texts, we are now able to make a clearer connection of what the ancients were trying to tell us in their encoded art and texts. Which enable us to uncover the truth of who we really are and our capabilities. In fact if you search deep enough you will find that all religions have a universal truth . This truth is governed by the 7 Hermetic laws of the Universe and bestow the fact that our “bodies” are the temple to freeing this knowledge within each and everyone of us. Which is what all spiritual icons preached. This knowledge is encoded in texts and in art like Da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man”, Renaissance and Alchemical drawings, the 7sefirot in the Kabbalah tree of life, 7 steps of Jacob’s ladder, 7gateways to heaven, 7 sins. In the Islamic faith they circle the Kabba 7 times, in Hinduism and Buddhism we have the 7 chakras which are energy wheels. This knowledge based on the “Trivium” & “Quadrivium” was taught in the mystery schools of Egypt where many famous ancients attended, such as Pythagoras, Plato, Socrates, Moses and some say even Jesus.

    Halos
This hidden knowledge is based on Astrotheology. Meaning that all planet , solar and lunar alignments that occur create magnetic frequencies that affect every living thing. Certain alignments in particular that are recorded to occur every 2160 years and 26,000 years are happening simultaneously now. The ancients coined these occurrences as the Golden , Silver, Bronze and Iron age. Absolutely everything is cyclical and this cycle of ages is a consciousness cycle with the Golden age at the top. The ancients had a more advanced spiritual understanding, than we do today and had far superior technology. In the 1930’s in Baghdad they found ancient batteries dating back to 250 B.C. used to electroplate there artifacts and give lighting. In 1900’s off the coast of Antithera, Greece they found an ancient analog computer designed to predict astronomical positions and eclipses that dates back to 150-100BC. Hundreds of tiny pieces of gold jewelry were unearthed near the Magdalena River in north central Colombia approximately100 years ago, and only a few centimeters in size. Approximately a dozen of these pieces have been said to resemble modern airplanes, yet they are believed to be from the Tolima culture crafted between 500 and 800 BCE. Ancient Vimana’s which were sophisticated flying aircrafts that were drawn in detail in the 400 BCE Mahabharata . In 1848 archeological finds in Egypt of yet more sophisticated aircraft hieroglyphs that were revealed through weathering of existing overlay on top of even older hieroglyphs underneath. We have also found that the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge are celestial clocks. Furthermore every continent has several pyramids not publicized, as if it was some type of energy grid source. All megalithic structures old and new, Including military basis and major cities are built on top of these ley lines which are the earths electro magnetic grid also known as the “Shumann Resonance”.

These structures are all sacred geometric shapes ( like the pyramids, Pentagon, La Grande Arche) that also align with constellations or planetary alignments as if there is some type of magic to this madness, in precise architecture and positioning. As Pythagoras said “ all is number”. Numbers are sacred. Nikola Tesla had used these grids and the Ionosphere to conduct free electricity in late 1890’s. Seems that someone has been hiding some important facts from us. Macrocosm and microcosm- “As Above So Below”. To understand who we are and how we relate to the earth you must start by researching the 7 Hermetic laws, Fibonacci math, human history and the earth’s electro magnetic fields.

    images-7images-6

What has been hidden from us is that we are first Ethereal Beings. We have a bio electrical aura known as chi , prana or Ka to the Egyptians. That with the great alchemical work the “Magnum Opus” – travels up our spine to our pineal gland-crown chakra. This traveling electrical energy is represented as the cauduceus or Hermes staff (Mercury) better known today as the medical staff. This is why pace makers, electrolysis, laser, EEG’s, EKG’s work on us. This is why if a radio station does not come in clear and we touch the antenna, the radio station magically becomes clearer or why some cultures believe in the evil eye to ward off negative energies. When our heart stops we revive it by sending an electrical current through our body , same as jump starting a car battery. We are vibrational and everything around us is vibrational and our antenna is our pineal gland. Once the pineal gland is fully activated we awaken to a clearer reality of who we are and slowly gain an understanding of what it means to view in the 4th dimension. The ancients knew this and is represented in art as halos or crowns throughout all cultures. This is also known as the crown chakra in Hinduism and Buddhism. Additionally this gives us a better understanding as to why the royals crown themselves with this hidden knowledge and sold us a lie while they control us like a shepherd leading his cattle. Instilling fear in us by using propaganda and word play like “Apocalypse” which really means to unveil something that has been hidden . Words like occult, daath and gnosis which all mean hidden knowledge. It is all a form of word play- if you do not know the true meaning of the word its hard to understand the true hidden meanings.

    Halos

ANCIENT HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE- GNOSIS OR DAATH

Pictured below, the Pinecone Staff of Osiris is surrounded by the two serpents of the Kundalini – biochemical Human electrical energy is also known as Chi and Prana. The staff represents the spine, and the pinecone represents the pineal gland. This tiny gland is located at the center of our brain and is involved in the production of a variety of important neurotransmitters, hormonal secretions and facilitates altered states of awareness, as you will learn.

Pinecones have always been occultically (knowledge of the hidden) associated with spiritual enlightenment. Whether we look at ancient Sumerian, Babylonian, Judaism, Egyptian, Hinduism, Chinese, Greco or Roman symbolisim the pinecone and serpents have represented the mysterious link between the physical and the spiritual worlds, which can be found in the human brain. Something that all of our greatest spiritual teachers throughout history taught but as time, religious dogmas and political powers controlled our world we lost touch with this inner knowledge. Alchemist referred to this as alchemy of the human body from lead to its awakened state, hence the golden halos depicted on all our enlightened figures of worship. Coined by the Greeks as the “Golden Age” a state of higher consciousness. The pineal gland, also known as the third eye, is represented by the pine cone in occult symbolism. This knowledge was taught in Egyptian Mystery schools which will open the doors to spiritual perception, once the seven Chakras are properly activated. The spirit body known as “Ka” to the Egyptians. Stating that we are first souls having a human experience in a human body.

The cross is a pagan symbol and predates Christ (Greek word for “Gold”)and can be traced back to the Sumerian civilization which predates Egyptian and Ancient Greek civilization by 6000 years. If you research this cross it is the galactic cross together with the earth cross. When these 2 cross alignments occur in our galaxy, electro magnetic frequencies are emitted – magic happens to our emotions and junk DNA gets activated. Just knowing the fact that woman follow the lunar cycle in regards to menstruation and that studies have shown that people are more aggressive or emotional during full moons gives us an understanding of how these frequencies affect us. You can find this cross representation in Pagan, Nazi and Knights templar symbolism also known as the cross of St. George. The knight templars were responsible for the death of over 1 million Cathars and the Inquisition. The mid-evil times were all about keeping the mass illiterate and anyone who had any knowledge died a horrible death. Keeping this esoteric wisdom to themselves hidden away in monastery’s and in the royal family.

    unknown-4

So now that we have established a better understanding of our history and who we are and how we relate to our planet we can start to look at spirituality and science in a new light. Is salt a conductor of electricity?I think it can be explained by the fact that when you put salt into water, salt molecules NaCl divide themselves into ions : Na+ and Cl- . As they carry an electrical charge, they are put in motion by the electrical field created by the generator (a battery for example), thus a current can flow in salted water and it is said that salted water conducts electricity. It’s a bit the same thing in metals for electrons, which carry a negative charge.

The more salt you put into the water, the better it conducts electricity.(Pure water is actually a poor conductor because the only ions it has are the residual H+ and OH- that form in neutral water and are the reason we say water has a pH of 7.) We are 80% water so the right amount of iodine increases our bio electricity. Which in my opinion explains why the ancient Egyptians would walk around holding a copper rod in right hand and zinc in the left. This would raise the natural bioelectricity that was enhanced when around ley lines which the pyramids of Giza are on.

    Halos

In addition we have the work of brilliant forward thinkers like Walter Russel, Nassim Haramein, Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Ingo Swann, David Wilcock, Scott Onstott, Graham Hancock, Terence Mckenna, Laurence Gardner, Jordan Maxwell, Santos Bonacci, Richard Gerber, Manly P Hall, John Anthony West, Klaus Dona and John Hudson, just to name a few.Take Emoto’s science experiments on water. Positive words or frequencies would form beautiful intricate ice crystals where as negative words or frequencies would have the opposite effect. He was also able to take contaminated water and emit positive words or frequencies (sound is frequency) and decontaminate the water. Is this where we get Holy water from? After all we are 80% water so imagine what positive and negative frequencies can do to us. This is what happens when we chant amen – om or frequencies from gongs or crystal bowls get emitted. Water like crystals hold information or energy. Furthermore frequencies are emitted through TV and music. Makes you wonder what’s safe and how big of a role in controlling the 95% of our subconscious mind this all has. What if we were able to consciously filter all this, apply it and gain more access to the rest of our subconscious? After all studies have shown factually that we all have the innate capability to remote view. I believe that all this is and can be changed just by knowing and sharing the knowledge. We are according to the celestial clock at the right time on the evolutionary cycle of consciousness.

Is this why we have GMO foods and Fluoride in our water , Common Core Cirriculum, aluminum and mercury in vaccines and daily spraying in our atmosphere with barium which becomes radioactive and vaporized aluminum which is proven to be a frequency blocker? Is Agenda 21 by the UN being implemented in hopes to control us from evolving to a higher states of consciousness in this celestial clock of ages, which the elite clearly have knowledge of-all in the name of greed? Through my research , my educated conclusion is “YES”. Solution- Knowledge is power and applied knowledge is freedom. We are all one (Namaste) and the earth is our home. ~Sat Nam

Knowledge is Power and Applied Knowledge is Freedom.

  • Gems from Coach Brenda – Enlightened by the Light

Gems from Coach Brenda – Enlightened by the Light

In anticipation of the amazing “strawberry” full moon and summer solstice, I found myself sitting outside mesmerized and pulled by the golden crimson fire in the sky.  The sunset was just as breathtaking as the golden glow of the moon. It reminded me of another gem in my treasure chest that I would like to share with you.  And that is the power and healing energy of light.

EnlightenedThe power of this Golden Healing Light emanates outwardly as well as inwardly when we learn how to tap into its radiant energy.  All we have to do is invite it in, and allow it to reflect our own states of awareness.  Let me share another guided imagery with you.  Ready?  Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Close your eyes and take three slow deliberate breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  And as you do, say the word PEACE in your mind. Pay attention to the gentle rhythm of your breath as it enters and exits your body.

Allow yourself to feel fully supported as you simply settle down and, going deep within yourself –  connect. When it feels right, see or feel something like grounding cords sprouting out from the souls of your feet, reaching deep into the core of the earth.  Feel yourself solid and one with Mother Earth. Continue to focus on your breathing with slow deliberate breaths until you are in a quiet, balanced state.

Now imagine gazing into a crystal blue sky.  See yourself dreaming, drifting, relaxed and peaceful as you gaze at the clouds floating by.  As you allow yourself to mentally drift, imagine a radiant golden light pouring down upon you and around you, covering your entire body and soul in a warm, loving glow.  Feeling secure and at ease, simply allow yourself to become more and more relaxed with each breath you exhale, as this golden column of light fills your entire being.

Visualize this light resting in your heart.  Let your attention gently slip away from any outside thoughts and follow this light into your heart.  There you will hear a loving voice that resonates deep within you.  Relax.  Breathe.  Listen.

This is the voice of your Higher Self, gently guiding you toward your Heart’s Desires.  Ask your Higher Self: “What is it that I desire?”  Take a moment now to tap into this inner wisdom and allow yourself to be guided by your angels, your spirit guides, the ascended masters or whoever is present with you today. Notice, what are you attracting?  Invite the energy around you to reflect, magnify and draw you to the vision that is held deep within your soul. What longs to be created?

    Enlightened

As you continue to breathe and focus on your heart’s desire, notice what pulls your attention away.  I invite you to look at these distractions in a nonjudgmental way.   Are they fears, worries, blocks or beliefs that no longer serve you?  As you continue breathing, envision that these obstacles are being relinquished – pulled out of your consciousness by gravity, down through the grounding cords in your feet –to be replaced with new patterns for creative expression, love, joy, happiness and whatever else you desire to draw to you. Freely release them to Mother Earth.

EnlightenedImagine your conscious and unconscious mind coming together to form a single focus, like a needle on a compass, pointing directly toward your dream.  Focus on it like a laser beam. Set your intentions and direct your energies toward the power of the brilliant sunset and golden beams of the moon.  Remember, that you do have the ability to manifest and co-create whatever you desire.

Your higher self is in direct alignment with your deepest visions.  All you have to do is line yourself up with it and know that this inner voice is available to you at any time This voice is all-knowing, loving and powerful, competent and wise, safe and subtle.  Quietly focus your attention onto this inner guidance and let your awareness become totally receptive to follow your higher guidance.  Ask it to assist you with the creation of your heart’s desire.

As you sit in quiet solitude with your spirit guides, listen to what they have to say to you.  When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and awaken to all that is. You have been enlightened by the light. Remember to use this golden gem whenever you are inspired to do so.

Blessings filled with love and light,

    Brenda

  • Tips from Coach Brenda – Breathe

Tips from Coach Brenda – Breathe

    Gems from Coach Brenda

In my last blog, I invited you to stay tuned so I could share my treasure chest of jewels with you. One of the gems I’d like to share with you today is breathing.
I always like to walk my talk and did just that this weekend in Lake Tahoe. When I find myself a little out of sorts or at least, off center, I make time to connect with the great Mother Earth.

    Treasure Chest

Our breath and the air we breathe is a powerful bridge that connects heaven and earth. It is this divine life giving source that raises our vibrational frequency placing us in the flow of our own well-being. When I need to reconnect, I find a sweet spot in mother nature where I take a few deep breaths and do just that – reconnect. As an alternative, when I cannot get out but need to center myself, I use guided imagery and visualize a quiet place. I close my eyes, relax and focus on my breathing… and reconnect.

On a recent visit to Lake Tahoe, I was gifted with majestic trees, birds singing, clean air, snowcapped mountains (in mid-June, that is) and rushing water. Leaning against the trees, listening to water rushing down the mountain into the lake, I breathed deeply and with every exhale released my cares, confusion and challenges to the Universe. I would like to share this gift (minus the snow), with you with this short video of Eagle Falls and the guide imagery I envisioned. Enjoy. Breathe in and release your cares.

    Guided Imagery

“BREATHE….in through your nose and out through your mouth. And as you do, picture yourself in one of your favorite spots in nature. Perhaps it’s the beach with the gentle breeze touching your skin, or a path in the woods filled with the fresh scents, deep roots, and clean air. Or maybe you’re high up in the mountains with the swift sound of water rushing by. Inhale deeply and feel it flow throughout your body.

Notice your breath as if it were an old friend and notice how you choose to breathe. Is it shallow, like the passing breeze amongst the trees offering you breathing room only? Or, is it deep, full body awareness- filling your lungs, diaphragm and belly with the life giving force that it is? Like the surging energy of the waterfall, feel the abundance and breathe deeply – moving that energy all the way into your totally relaxed body. You begin to notice a more expanded awareness as you shift your consciousness to higher levels and you begin to connect your body, mind and spirit with that of the Universe. You become ONE with all that is.

When you become one with your breath, pay attention to how your body just lets go. Peace. Serenity. Now, let that feeling of peace and relaxation wash over you, as you become more centered, focused, and divinely attuned and in touch with Mother Earth. Relax. Imagine a beautiful, healing, golden yellow light resting over the top of your head. It is a warm, gentle golden light that bathes you with its divine healing energy slowly moving into your body, relaxing you more and more.

    Divine Golden Light Energy

With each breath you breathe, allow this golden healing energy to flow to you and through you. And as you do, you begin to release any old outmoded thoughts, feelings, beliefs or patterns that no longer serve you. Instead, BREATHE. Invite new feelings of compassion, self-love, self-worth and self-acceptance to flow to you and through you – right down into the cellular core level of your being.

This is your time to re-connect, re-charge, re-center, and re-discover your true divine self. When faced with challenges, fears, or restrictions, remember – slow down, pause and breathe deeply.

    Art-90

It is the divine gift of breath that allows you to create your heart’s desire. What is it you desire? Like the air you breathe and the wind on your skin, your mind becomes open and receptive to the concept of change. This is good for the time has come. Feel the winds of change blowing and the rushing waters flowing through your body, your mind and your spirit. Your breath is working for you right now. And, it feels good to tap into these higher sources of wisdom.

Whenever you’re ready, slowly bring your awareness and your breath back to this present moment, now. Feeling centered and back in charge, remember you carry this gem with you and can retrieve it when needed.”

This week, I invite you to Stop, Breathe, Reflect, and Choose. Have fun as you invite breath in to inspire you in new ways. Who knows, what you’ll discover as your heart’s desire. In my next blog, I’ll share more gems from my treasure chest so stay tuned.

In the meantime, feel free to share this post with others and let me know one of your special gems you’d like to share.

Blessings filled with love and light,

    Brenda

  • Finding Beauty, Self-Awareness and Growth in Disappointment

Finding Beauty, Self-Awareness and Growth in Disappointment

All of us have experienced that terrible sinking feeling that accompanies disappointment. It’s all too easy to fixate on things that don’t go our way and resent life for not giving us what we want. But finding freedom from disappointment is as easy as changing your perspective on what disappointment is and the purpose it’s meant to serve in your life. Instead of seeing the disappointments you experience as tragic or punishments, you can use them to increase your self-awareness and spiritual growth.

Lose the expectations, lose the disappointment

expectationsFeeling disappointed is almost always the result of having unrealistic expectations. If our vision of what our lives should be doesn’t align with reality, our hopes are dashed and our spirits are crushed. The easiest way to avoid suffering from disappointment is to nix all expectations and open our minds to accepting everything life has to offer — disappointments included. Accepting disappointment allows us to live in the now and appreciate the present moment. No amount of sadness or anger we express toward our disappointments will make them completely disappear. And if we insist on getting our own way and coerce others into doing what we want so we can avoid experiencing disappointment, we’re simply cheating ourselves out of learning valuable lessons the Universe wants to teach us.

Behind every disappointment there is a lesson to be learned

If you feel like it’s impossible to cope with , it’s time to stop demonizing it. Many of us cast our disappointments in a negative light and fail to see the beauty in them. Our disappointments are meant to help us grow on a mental, spiritual and emotional level. As an intuitive counselor, I’ve worked with friends and clients alike who have struggled with disappointment, and I’ve drawn from my own experiences when giving advice about making the most of them. I avoid being overwhelmed by disappointment by seeing the potential for growth behind it, and I always urge others to do the same.

disappointmentFor example: one of my greatest recent disappointments was submitting a few of my best poems to the Kenyon Review, an esteemed literary journal, and being rejected. After months of waiting for a response, I opened an email about my submission a few weeks ago and read that I hadn’t been selected. At first, I felt a sting of self-doubt and disappointment. The rejection even made me momentarily question if I’ll ever achieve my dream of being recognized by an acclaimed publication. However, I took a step back and saw that the rejection was merely a lesson meant to help me grow as a writer. I realized I was experiencing feelings of disappointment because I had expected being selected, even though my aims were unrealistic — I don’t have even a sliver of the experience of the background most writers have who submit to the Kenyon Review, a journal rooted in tradition. Instead of being swept up by my disappointment, I recognized that I need to slowly work my way up to avoid another incident of self-sabotage.

What you think you want isn’t always what you need

Disappointment arises when we ask for something and we don’t get it. However, it’s impossible for us to always know what’s best for ourselves. The greatest things that come our way in life are usually gifts from the Universe that we never asked for. While it’s tempting to believe we always know what’s best and can exercise complete control over our lives, the Universe is a powerful force that influences our existence in ways beyond logical understanding. Let’s look at relationships, for example: if you connected with your partner in one of your classes, at work or even through a friend, you never could have known your actions were leading up to you finding love. You didn’t sign up for a specific lecture or take a certain job with the intention of meeting your mate. Somewhere in your heart, you were finally open to the experience of love and embracing your worthiness, and the Universe responded to your vibrations.

    disappointment

Letting go of the desire to have total control over your life by recognizing the power of the Universe will allow you to free yourself from the prison of your expectations. The Universe gives us exactly what we need in the present moment so we can grow, whether it’s amazing gifts or challenging disappointments. Remember that what you want and how you think your life should be may not be what you need in this stage of your life.

  • Using Amazonite to Heal Your Relationship With Your Emotions

Using Amazonite to Heal Your Relationship With Your Emotions

Making peace with our emotions and being receptive to the feelings of others without being overwhelmed by them is challenging, but one that we can overcome by self-reflecting with Amazonite. Showing what we perceive as ‘weak’ emotions in front of other people, even those we care about most, can be intimidating. Taking someone else’s anger or mercurial moods personally is something we all struggle with, for some of us on a daily basis. Coming to terms with our attitudes about our emotions and how we react to the way others express their feelings is an essential step we have to take to increase our self-awareness. In doing so, we’re not only becoming more comfortable with our and other people’s emotions — we’re learning how to avoid letting emotions rule our entire being and influence us to make negative or impulsive decisions.

How I Made Peace With Expressing my Emotions Using Amazonite

AmazoniteWhat makes it so difficult for so many of us to show others how we truly feel? Until recently, I never realized how difficult it can be for me to openly express my feelings without feeling afraid of what others might think about me. Admitting my disappointment or sadness in fear of hurting someone else has always been a struggle. So has crying in public and even in the company of those closest to me. I was raised in a household where I felt I had to constantly monitor my feelings out of fear of upsetting people who were supposed to support me. As a child of a depressive and unstable parent, I learned that censoring oneself is the easiest way one can avoid conflict, emotional abuse or neglect. It’s safe to say that for those of us who struggle with our feelings, childhood programming is a major cause of our issues.

Over the last year, working with crystals has drastically helped me open my heart to healing myself from my childhood conditioning. One of the best crystals I’ve used to repair my relationship with my emotions is Amazonite. Its soothing jade color resonates with the Heart Chakra and balances out emotional energy. Working with Amazonite has helped me honor my emotions rather than suppress them. Although I still have a long way to go, the healing energy of Amazonite has helped me recognize that I’m worthy of expressing my feelings to others without fear.

AmazoniteUsing Amazonite to Understand and Accept the Root of Your Emotions

The more you work with Amazonite, the easier it will be for you to nurture yourself and understand the root of your emotions. Mediating with this stone while dealing with upsetting or conflicting emotions makes it easier to take a step back, identify their source and avoid being consumed by them. Carrying this stone will balance your emotional equilibrium and yield a sense of self-acceptance. If you tend to be hard on yourself for being emotional or feel ashamed for sharing feelings or weaknesses that make you feel vulnerable, using Amazonite will help you see that none of us are enlightened beings exempt from the ups and downs of life and feeling overwhelmed by them. Judging ourselves as weak or silly for reaching out to others while suffering only makes healing more challenging. The more honest we are with ourselves and others about how we feel, the easier life becomes.

Find Freedom in Learning How to Not Take Other People’s Emotions Personally

Amazonite contains a powerful energy that will help you avoid internalizing the negative moods of others. As an empath, I’ve found it particularly challenging not to take on the emotions of others and mistake them as my own. Wearing Amazonite in a situation where I know I’ll be encountering someone who is angry, spiteful or deeply unhappy helps me stay centered and detached from what they’re feeling, all while retaining as much understanding as possible for that person.

    Art-81C

Like most people, I have the occasional tendency of dwelling on conflicts and negative events I’ve experienced in my life. Whenever I do this and I start becoming angry or upset when I think about how awful someone was to me in their selfishness or anger, I take my favorite piece of Amazonite, count backwards from ten, breathe in and out slowly and try to imagine being in their shoes. I consider why they did and said the things they did, and in doing so the crystal gives me the clarity to recognize that almost 99% of the time, their actions had nothing to do with me. Taking their moods personally and even allowing them to affect me was a huge mistake. The power in this stone has helped me gather the strength to free myself from being overwhelmed by the emotions of others, and it can do the same for you.

Using the Eye of Horus for Psychic Protection and Shadow Work

For thousands of years, cultures around the world have been fascinated by eyes and bestowed them with magical properties. But what makes our eyes so intriguing? Eyes are a powerful symbol for uncovering hidden knowledge and one’s higher truth, and for this reason the eyes have been called the gateway to the soul. One of the most famous eyes in modern culture is the Eye of Horus, a symbol that demonstrates the power of sacrifice and self-awareness. Here’s how you can use this sacred symbol to protect yourself from negative energy and discover the benefits of shadow work.

    Eye of Horus

The Myth of the Horus: Courage, Strength and Sacrifice

Horus is the falcon-headed God of Egypt, famous for the immortal symbol of his left eye. Also called the Wedjat, the left eye of Horus was revered by ancient Egyptians for its mystical protective qualities and connection to the Moon and Thoth, God of magic. Horus’s Right Eye, also known as the Udjat, is linked to Ra, the Sun God. A famous myth recounts Horus battling with his evil uncle, Seth, for Egypt’s throne after Seth murders Horus’s father, Osiris. During one battle, Seth gouges out Horus’s left eye and tears it into six pieces. However, Thoth and several minor deities manage to restore the eye and return it to Horus. Horus ends up sacrificing the eye Thoth healed to resurrect Osiris.

Clear Quartz w/Opal Eye – Horus Egyptian Amulet (Front)The story of Horus’s eye being used to revive Osiris infuses this symbol with regenerative properties. The Eye is perfect for anyone struggling with low or fluctuating levels of energy, Chakra imbalances or holes in the aura. The Eye of Horus also has magical qualities that bestow its wearer with great protection. If you’ve been struggling with psychosomatic illness or dark thoughts, wearing your Eye of Horus amulet can help heal your mind-body connection and keep you from manifesting your inner negativity.

The Eye of Horus is particularly helpful for victims of psychic attacks. Psychic attacks can be superficial or serious, ranging from someone speaking cruel words about you to being energetically drained by black magick. Symptoms include brain fog, recurring dreams of shadows or being bitten by animals, episodes of severe stomach pain or hunger (the latter occurring post-attack), edginess, poor circulation and sensing someone is watching you even when you’re alone. Psychic attacks aren’t always from our enemies — even loved ones you’ve fallen out with can unintentionally send draining vibes in your direction by thinking angry thoughts about you. If you’re worried someone is sending negative energy in your direction, place an Eye of Horus symbol around every entrance of your home and wear your Eye of Horus amulet to shield yourself.

    The Eye of Horus

My Story: The Eye of Horus and Repelling Psychic Attacks with Shadow Work

When I began studying creative writing in my first year of college, I encountered a woman who psychically attacked me. At first, I sensed heavy energy surrounding her when my professor praised one of my better pieces. Everything imploded several weeks later when I critiqued one of her stories and she lashed out at me. From then on, I felt her sending seriously negative energy toward me. I left every other workshop with a throbbing headache, and my performance in the class diminished! I began to resent her. Eventually, I researched how to defend myself from negative energy, and in the process I came across using the ‘evil eye’ for warding off psychic attacks.

Eye of HorusRegardless if my classmate intended to or not, she was psychically attacking me because she felt threatened by the positive attention I received, and she had perceived my critique as an attack. However, her insecurities were only a reflection of my own wavering self-esteem, which stemmed from my self-doubts about whether I was ‘good enough’ to be a writer. This woman could psychically attack me because our energies were in synch! I purchased an Eye of Horus charm and meditated while envisioning a white light simultaneously shielding me from her negative energy and cleansing me of any insecurities I had that mirrored her own. I also set out the intention for her to look within and recognize her worthiness. I no longer felt psychically drained for the remainder of the semester, and by the end of the workshop we were on civil terms. Working with the Eye of Horus helped me dissolve the potential for us to be on the same energetic frequency where psychic attacks could manifest.

Whether you’re interested in using the Eye of Horus for its psychic protection or its divine healing properties, this sacred Egyptian symbol is one of the most powerful for repelling negativity — and as I discovered, understanding and soothing the energies of your inner Shadow.

  • Forgiving Your Family and Finding Empowerment

Forgiving Your Family and Finding Empowerment

If there’s one thing most of us are taught during our childhood years, it’s that family is important and should be a source of joy and security in our lives. But what if your family didn’t fit the paradigm we see in movies and on television? What if your family has become a dark, well-kept secret, or a source of shame or trauma in your life? Reconciling your expectations of what family should be and the reality of what family is can be incredibly challenging for those who have come from abusive homes. As an adult child of an alcoholic, I’ve struggled intimately with how the cracked foundations of a childhood home can bleed into adulthood and make loving yourself a tremendous feat. But even in your darkest hour, it’s important to recognize that there is always hope for you to heal, to step into your own power and leave the pain of your childhood behind. All it takes is three simple steps.

    Family

Step 1: Be Kind and Forgiving to Yourself.

Adult children of damaged parents tend to be hard on themselves. I know this firsthand: for years, I struggled with crippling perfectionism, an issue that stemmed from needing to impress my parents, particularly my father, in order to gain their love and attention. Making mistakes gave me terrible anxiety, and if anything went wrong in my home I automatically blamed myself. This behavior continued well into adulthood until I realized that the only person I needed to impress to be happy was me, and that I was never to blame for my parents’ faults. And even now, I’m still struggling to put these concepts into practice on a daily basis.

If there’s one thing adult children of dysfunctional homes need to do, it’s give themselves a break. A devastating number of us are chronic perfectionists, workaholics and masochists. It can be difficult for us to take compliments, to believe that our partners love us. Practice mindfulness by monitoring your inner dialogue every day, paying careful attention to the way you react to any slip-ups you make. Support yourself with positive self-talk, not self-destructive speech. And don’t hesitate to compliment yourself for your achievements and for simply being the amazing person you are. Lose yourself to joy, to silliness, to feelings of hard earned success. Reward yourself. You deserve it.

Step 2: Keep Moving Forward – Don’t Look Back.

Breaking down a dysfunctional family is like peeling back the layers of an onion: it’s arduous, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s difficult not to be brought to tears while doing it. Especially when someone else is doing the peeling, and it’s your family! This is why I quit therapy. I became tired of having therapists deconstruct the defects of my parents, flaws I was already understood all too well. I discovered that the more you obsess over the past, the more you lose focus on the beauty of the present moment.

When I reflect on the past, I do so with a non-judgmental perspective. The past cannot be changed: it can only be accepted for what it is. This concept has allowed me to dislodge the resentment I had toward my parents for taking away the normalcy of my childhood. Looking back on the past with the intention of accepting someone for who they are and leaving your expectations behind allows you to move one step closer to finding freedom from the pain others have caused you.

Step 3: Break Off Harmful Relationship Patterns That Mirror the Past.

Adults from dysfunctional families frequently encounter situations that eerily mirror the dynamics they had with their parents. Many of us become ‘rescuers’ for damaged partners and we like to have excessive control, which sabotages the healthy relationships in our lives. Why? Adult children of alcoholics, in particular, tend to have serious issues with control and self-worth. After all, we develop self-esteem from how our parents reacted to our feelings and needs. If our parent(s) were distant, critical or failed to be our mirror, developing healthy self-esteem as an adult can be challenging. Not to mention that living in a chaotic environment can quickly create a deeply insecure person who craves control and order to feel safe.

FamilyAs we discussed, the past can’t be changed. But what you can change is your attitude toward yourself. Your self-image is the one thing you can undoubtedly control. Although long held negative beliefs you’ve had about yourself – that you’re unworthy of love because your alcoholic mother did not love you, that you’re damaged beyond repair because your narcissistic father left you – may seem too powerful to control, they can only define you and affect you if you give them permission to do so. Who told you that you’re unlovable because you had a parent who struggled with their past and also felt unlovable themselves? As an adult who has made it this far, the definition of who you are begins within you. What your parents, siblings or relatives think of you has no meaning unless you believe it has meaning. And taking the shortcomings of your parents personally will always hold you back from healing.

As your self-awareness grows and you can confidently look yourself in the eye and tell yourself that you are lovable, you’ll encounter others who believe the same — and reaffirm that you’re worth it, and always have been.

  • Using Crystal Skulls for Purification and Increasing Psychic Powers

Using Crystal Skulls for Purification and Increasing Psychic Powers

Although many of us typically associate skulls with all things doom, gloom and death metal, crystal skulls have been going mainstream for the last few years, and with good reason: they’re changing the way we view this once macabre symbol and empowering us to heal and ascend. Crystal skulls have unique healing properties that combine intense vibrational energy with principles of sacred geometry incorporated into their design. By tapping into the power of crystal skulls, we can move one step closer to purifying our bodies and minds and discovering our psychic potential.

    Crystal Skulls

Changing the Idea of the Skull and What it Symbolizes

The ‘age’ of a crystal skull depends not on the human head it’s shaped after, but the lifespan of the crystal it’s carved from. These skulls range from modern (less than 100 years old) to ancient (over 2,000 years old, dating back to Mayan times!). Crystal skulls are typically constructed from quartz, but they’re also made with other types of stones. The discovery of the famous Mitchell-Hedges clear crystal quartz skull brought crystal skulls into mainstream culture.

For some, crystal skulls inspire a feeling of tranquility. Perhaps the construction of one of the most key elements of the human form out of gemstones incites a feeling of inner peace — shaping the idea that we have the power to master our fears and manifest our desires. However, for others crystal skulls can just as easily seem bizarre or frightening. The antiquated idea that skulls signify loss is difficult to shake off, even with how popular crystal skulls have become.

    Crystal Skulls

Although it’s easy to automatically fear skulls due to their classical association with death, it’s important we observe these healing tools in a new light. Fearing death rather than accepting it compels us to live rigidly with fear of taking healthy risks and exploring the Unknown — both essential elements of spiritual ascension. Looking the beast in the eye can be somewhat terrifying, but working with crystal skulls may actually be the perfect remedy if the idea of your own mortality frightens the devil out of you. Make peace with your fears by using crystal skulls as a part of your next crystal grid formation, or meditate while holding one.

Crystal Skulls as Unique Tools for Spiritual Healing and Ascension

Crystal skulls are an excellent tool to use during meditations and energetic healing sessions that are intense in nature. I find that crystal skulls have amazing grounding properties that help us remain unafraid to face our Shadow sides while working with stones that magnetize dark energy from within, like Black Obsidian.

Extraterrestrial skulls have also recently come into the limelight. If you’re a budding Starseed or have a growing interest in connecting with your Extraterrestrial brethren out in the cosmos, using an ET skull made out of a stone like Moldavite, Kyanite or Labradorite may prove extremely helpful in assisting with ET communication.

    ET Crystal Skull

The more you work with your skull, the more you will find it easier to embrace the concepts of self-love and gratefulness for the miracle of your own existence; your intuitive abilities and self-trust will grow rapidly. Crystallographer Frank Dorland even proposed that crystal skulls have the potential to open the higher channels of the mind by mirroring the electromagnetic waves of the brain! As a result, meditating with your skull is an excellent way that you can manifest your desires and positive intentions. Here is a healing exercise to try with your skull:

Step 1: As always, start by getting relaxed. Take a solitary walk, relax in a warm bath or unwind with ambient music. When you’re ready, head to a quiet space and begin deep breathing, starting from 20 and counting down. Continue to the next step when you’re centered.

Step 2: Hold your skull and trace its features with your fingers. Appreciate its texture and design as you stare into its eyes — a technique proven to stimulate the third eye (Pineal gland). Note how this makes you feel and what comes to mind as your psychic channel begins to open.

Step 3: Next, envision your body as a channel for the skull’s energy. Picture the center of your forehead near the Third Eye Chakra becoming an gate of white light that will accept the skull’s energy. Now, visualize the skull’s energy traveling into this gate. Feel your skull’s fuse with your body, bringing forth a sense of clarity and inner harmony.

Step 4: When you’ve connected with your skull’s energies, think about a positive change you want to make in your life, or focus on a question that you’re seeking an answer to. Envision the benefits of making this change to increase your potential to manifest it; allow your mind to absorb the skull’s expansive energy and see what images come to you.

Step 5: Finally, use an affirmation to solidify your intentions and expand on your skull’s ability to heal your mind, body and spirit. ‘I am beautiful and lovable’ is a good example for someone who may be working with their skull to improve their self-esteem. Exit the meditation on a few deep breaths as you honor the incredible power of your skull.

  • Happiness: it’s Who You’re With and How You See it

Happiness: it’s Who You’re With and How You See it

There’s something important I’ve deduced over the last several years while on my travels that I’m eager to share with my readers. Happiness: it’s not where you are, it’s who you’re with and how you see it.Even if this seems like a relatively simple idea, it’s amazing how this concept can completely fly over our heads as we continue to place an enormous emphasis on deriving happiness from our external surroundings. Here’s how you can crack the happiness ‘code’.

A Change of Pace, or Escape? Valuing the Internal over the External

At some point in our lives, many of us start yearning for more and believe we can find it abroad, in the places we’ve yet to search for joy. We choose out of state colleges that take us away from our familiar surroundings and families. We readily transfer to a better, more modern location in our jobs whenever the chance arises. Where does it end – the ever elusive quest for finding the place we truly belong? Is there such a thing as ‘belonging’, and is it even possible in a society that continues to advance at such a rapid pace? It seems no matter where we go, problems arise that make us resentful of our surroundings and eager for a change. But perhaps the answer to happiness isn’t trying to carve out a sense of belonging in our surroundings, but finding a sense of belonging within ourselves.

While the external world is unpredictable and constantly changing, the healthy inner world provides us with refuge from feeling pain due to the things which we cannot control. Finding happiness in your surroundings doesn’t depend on the surroundings themselves and whether they are good or bad. It depends on how you perceive them. The perceptions you have of yourself, your environment and of others is crucial to finding a sense of balance and contentment wherever you are. Do you perceive the world through a negative, pessimistic lens? Do you automatically see or predict the worst in everything around you?

Inner changes produce external results. We’re all capable of projecting our energy out into the Universe in order to reshape our lives. Even if you’re living in a studio apartment and you wish you had a New York City penthouse, changing your perception of your apartment to a more positive one, being grateful for what you have and seeing the beauty in the things that you can will make you as content as someone who does own that penthouse!

    Happiness

The Problem with Traveling and Romanticizing Wanderlust

Wanderlust and the beauty of the unknown is, without a doubt, glamorized in our society. But while travel is enthralling, it also poses a potential problem for those who struggle with escapism and using frequent travel as a means to avoid disappointment, rejection and a lack of purpose. Moving to different places can be exciting. But if you don’t have a healthy inner world, even living in the most beautiful of places won’t cover up your inner dissatisfaction. Eventually, you’ll start hungering for something you can’t find even in the luxuries of your surroundings. Before you know it, you’ll be packing your bags and booking a one-way ticket to your next destination to relive the exhilarating adrenaline rush of being somewhere totally novel, a feeling that’s covering up a much deeper issue: a disconnect with your true Self.

If you struggle with the impulse to move due to finding unhappiness no matter where you go, redefine your goals and decide what it is you’re truly looking for, and if you’re making your surroundings responsible for curing your own sense of discontent. Here’s a fine example: do you remember the story of the Amityville Horror house? Even after the family cursed by the house decided to leave, the spirits of the house followed them! It wasn’t until they cleansed themselves of their ‘demons’, so to speak, that they found peace. Negativity operates quite similarly. If you don’t resolve your inner discontent, it will follow you around like a nagging shadow wherever you go.

    Happiness

Your Relationships with Others (And Yourself) Makes a Difference

On a final note, I mentioned earlier that happiness depends on who you’re with. This doesn’t just include your most personal relationships – it also relates to your relationship with yourself! If you build a healthy relationship with yourself and develop your coping skills, you can thrive even in the most undesirable of circumstances. If you believe that you’re destined for gratifying relationships and feel you deserve the best, you will attract better energy and fantastic people without having to pick up and relocate to make a change. Instead of judging others, set the intention to invite kind people into your life.

The more you wander, the lonelier you will be – as Christopher McCandless once said, “happiness is best when shared”. Cultivating meaningful relationships is guaranteed to make even the darkest of surroundings a little brighter.
